i always wonder
if growing sensible
if keeping eyes on people
trying to match my pace
with the vast universe
i must've failed that

slightest gaze turns to staring
understanding is no longer a thing
we all presuming

what you do, what i do
what you'll think
what i think of you
until blurred lines cross our paths
the string is nowhere to be seen

i saw your face
far beyond the clouds
rain slapped me on the cheek
the gentleness scratched deep

your presence is vibrant
but i knew better,
your mind never stops to wander
even when your heart tries to linger

you're not really here
you're not listenin'
and i caught it before my eyes,
all way too often

the moon is such a beauty
but like moon,
you hold that mystery
flaws hiding behind delicacy

still i stopped mid-way
truth sits in front me
no more charming narrations,
i decided that day

a fool is me
wondering if i'll ever get the chance to storytell the way you do
those small bits of life
as long as we're thrilled
as long as it brings bliss
they all matter

tiny cuts wound my skin
i lost count the pain's no longer visible
i'll keep it all to myself
as i'd always be

and when your turn is on
the glint in your eyes lit up the darkness
i can't help but curve a smile
as i feel your grip on my hand

you're happy

and that's enough for me.
